Webstore is Up and Running!

Hi Folks,

Sorry for the duplicate email, just wanted to make sure we get all this info in blog format, so that you have it to check back to on the website in future. Also, some delicious pork and fish choices are now available that weren’t up in the webstore this morning.  On that note, Farmer Hurd’s herd is fattening up as we speak and some wonderful cuts of beef should be available in the next few weeks. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we know more, and apologies to those of you that were looking forward to some grass-fed steaks for next week.

Also, Carolyn from Eastman Fish will have a limited supply of fresh caught NH lobsters on hand at the first Tuesday and Saturday pick-ups.  Lobsters will also be available for CSA member’s pre-order reservations starting the week of June 20th.

We’re less than a week away from our very first pickup and I wanted to make sure you’ve all got the scoop on how to customize your share by selecting from a bounty of à la carte “add-ons” via our webstore. Want some raw organic milk and cut-comb honey? Click away. Need some local grass-fed beef for that party? Click again. Add a chunk of fresh-churned butter and a few live lobsters and… voilà! (it’ll all be in your box on pick-up day). Through partnerships Applecrest has built with local Seacoast farmers and producers, our C.S.A. members can truly and directly connect to their entire local food shed.

To visit the webstore, go to: http://csa.farmigo.com/store/applecrest.

Upon arrival, you’ll be prompted to log-in using your email address and password.

Once in, you’ll then be able to peruse a host of various categories including bread, meats, dairy, etc. Information regarding individual items can be found by clicking on that item’s image. To add it to your weekly share, simply click the green “Add” button.

When done making your selections, please double check to ensure you’ve chosen the right quantity for each item and then click the “checkout” button. You will then be prompted to enter your payment info and confirm your order.

And that’s it! All you gotta do then, is show up for your next regularly scheduled pick-up and your farm partner add-ons will be ready and waiting with your weekly share.

A NOTE REGARDING WEBSTORE HOURS!

If you’re scheduled for Tuesday pick-ups: the webstore will be open 2:00am Wednesday to 2:00am Saturday the week prior to your next pick-up. For example, for pick-up on Tuesday, June 21st, your webstore will be open and available for item selection from 2:00am Wednesday, June 15th to 2:00 am Saturday June 18th.

If you’re scheduled for Saturday pick-ups: the webstore will be open 2:00am Sunday to 2:00am Thursday the week prior to your next pick-up. For example, for pick-up on Saturday, June 25th, your webstore will be open and available for item selection from 2:00am Sunday, June 19th to 2:00 am Thursday June 23rd.

A NOTE REGARDING MILK BOTTLE DEPOSITS!

The listed price for all glass bottle dairy items (milk, yogurt, cream, quark, etc.), includes the bottle deposit price. Upon receipt of your well-rinsed empties the following week, Applecrest will promptly credit your member account with the appropriate dollar amount equal to the type and number of bottles returned. This credit amount can be used for future milk and dairy purchases or any other webstore item. Should you wish to keep these cute and handy bottles (think flower vase or sea glass container)…please feel free!

A NOTE REGARDING GOOD LOAF PURCHASES!

There are few items offered by The Good Loaf that, due to their baking schedule, are only available on Tuesdays, and likewise a few that are only available on Saturdays.  This will be indicated in the description of the item if applicable, so be sure when you’re placing your order, that the bread of your choice is available on your pickup day. (Most are available both days!)

As always, if you have any further questions, feel free to shoot us an email at csa@applecrest.com and we’ll get right back to you.

Enjoy the lovely weather and we’ll see you in a week!
